Story

Long ago the world used to be full of wonder. Magic flowed freely and great beasts roamed the land. History is covered in the mists of time, but legend says that a great war brought this time to an end. After the war, magic seemed to no longer exist. The great beasts withered away. Mankind though flourished. Great kingdoms rose and fell. Over time the monsters began to start roaming the land again. Several kingdoms joined together to protect their people. The Empire was formed. Under the watch of the Empire the world grew. Steam engines where invented. The industrial age began.

Soon the Empire started to seek power. Villages where burned. Homes destroyed. The Empire was seeking something.

Soon a group gathered together to fight against the Empire. They called themselves the Returners. A secret group made up of people simply wanting to live in peace. With the Empire spreading its forces across the world, it seemed that dream would not be found. Hope began to rekindle when a mysterious man appeared. He said he could summon the souls of the ancient warriors of the legendary war.

The souls retain their skills in magic and combat. They where just the answer the Returners where looking for, warriors that could fight back against the machines of the Empire. You are one of these ancient souls being brought back into this world. As you ride the ghost train back to the world of the living, you ponder how the world has changed. Soon it will be time to return to life.

As the train pulls up the station you will begin to fulfill your destiny as the War of the Magi begins.
